The Hollingsworth Residence is steeped in rich architectural history being the original house of Fred Hollingsworth, the father of West Coast Modern Architecture in the North Shore of Vancouver.  Russell, Fred’s son, challenged us with the primary task of finding a buyer willing to protect the house from demolition by going through the HRA process. We we’re up to it!

With our understanding of the types of qualified buyers who would be interested in this type of home, we reached out to our key target audience, and invited them to a museum cocktail tour before going to market on the MLS.  This ‘Appreciation Night’ ended up pulling almost 200 visitors, and many of them thanked us for opening up the home, as they would potentially never be able to view this classic West Coast Modern original again.

Without even going to the MLS, we ended up with 5 offers, which eventually led to a wonderful family willing to go through the Heritage process and most importantly preserving a little bit more of our community history.
