Prospect House
Introduction
When you think of expansive Vancouver city views, North Vancouver isn’t what naturally comes to mind. But when it comes from a 24,000 sq. ft. estate appointed with a tennis court and swimming pool, well, you get something truly unique and undeniably extraordinary. As soon as you arrive at the entrance, you are enthralled with the cut-a-way A-frame shaped roof line. This “PoMo” design element was a reflection of a new architectural style in the 80’s, a movement that combined the symbolism of the past with the forms of the present. The architect has pushed his form lines in an interesting way, and this well represents the innovations of Post-Modernism.
