Tea House
Presenting The Tea House, a serene retreat perched above the tranquil waters of David Cove.
Designed by Richard Iredale, principal of Iredale Architecture, this Japanese-inspired modernist sanctuary is designed with harmony and sustainability at its core. Sunlight dances across polished concrete and wooden accents, while the crackle of a wood-burning stove adds a sense of quiet comfort.
Step outside to an expansive patio, where stone paths quarried from the island itself lead to a fenced garden nourished by a rainwater irrigation system. The air is scented with cedar and sea, and moments of stillness await beneath an outdoor shower. Beyond, a private retreat unfolds—a guest-ready bunkie and a workshop where creativity takes shape. Every detail is a celebration of architecture deeply connected to nature.
The Tea House redefines what a home can be—a times less retreat, ready to welcome its next custodian.
